WELCOME….

    Its really happy to see you ppl frequenting to my Blog… First of all a BIG thanks for that… And in his new post I want to tell about the college in which I’m studying now..  Its CEG one of the most premier institute teaching Engineering.. It has developed a very good reputation overall India since it was started by British people…

    It was such a good college on its initial period with excellent facilities which was on par with international universities on that time ( 19th century ) .. If a survey was taken at that time it could have been even come as the TOPPER in its class..

     But in the surveys conducted by INDIA TODAY and OUTLOOK it has captured the 8th and 9th positions respectively.. Still its a very good positioin as there are so many private institutes have developed in Engineering …

    Here I want to ask you all CEGians who are reading this Blog… ARE WE REALLY WORTH IT..?

   Probably non CEGians may wonder why i’m asking this question as Everyone in TamilNadu is Crazy about this college…

   Being a student of this very institutiion for last three years I can see how much we lack and how much we lag..

  And this blog starts here only… You may feel hard after reading this blog if i continue in serious tone.. So let me switch to my natural humor tone so that you can enjoy this as my previous posts…

      OK .. Here we go..  From where shall we start ..? Hmmm VC office or the Tennis court.. OK  lets spare the VC office as its the only good building in my college.. So we’ll begin with Tennis Court..

TENNIS COURT:

        Ever seen a college court which never allows its students to play in it.. if you come to CEG you can see it… It has totally three courts which are painted neatly in GREEN paint and named as SYNTHETIC COURT.. Wow.. Wonderful la..?

SPORTS BOARD:

      As this is the SPORTS CENTER for all the Engg colleges in TN it looks very Majestic with a very big building but tha sad part here is you not even a single KOLI KUNDU is there to play.. No more description for this intersting place…

LIBRARY:

         Library is Ok.. We’ve got a very good collection of books here , fully computerised .. But when you compare this with the LIBRARY of Madras IIT which is just opposite to our college, its like a mole infront of a hill… But mot students like it as it is the RENDEZVOUS for guys and gals

RCC:

       Ramanujam Computing Centre- the core point of computing in our college has such a good collection of computers which you can never see anywhere… Dont think that we’ve such advanced systems.. Actually even the company which produced it would have forgotten those models.. Such an out-dated Systems.. And we’ve nearly 50 computers to cater to the need of nearly 2500 ppl ( 1:50 Very good ratio) . Some highly hypothetical facts about our RCC are

    i) It works for 24 hrs

   ii) Broadband internet connection

  iii) High speed processors ( Once I checked..It displayed as 433 MHz )

AIRTEL BOOTH:

        The only acces point for any hosteller to the outside world.. And they are having a great time with all those E-Recharges kind of stuff ( I’ve a doubt here . I’m rarely seeing gals coming for recharge.. Why..? ) 

CANTEEN:

   I dont want to coment much on this as it is the only place where every gal comes happily and every guy leaves sadly ( Purse empty aguthula )…

GROUND:

    We really have a very vast ground , infact a very good ground too withe one ground each for cricket, footbal and hockey.. Besids these we’ve three basketball court ( again our own kind of synthetic court but it has devloped some cracks now itself ) , two Volleyball court ( My favourite :)

DEPARTMENTS:

   We’ve got seperate buildings for most of our departments.. But being in an university I feel a bit sad to say that we dont have a Building for our Geo-Informatics Dept…  Infact third year classes for them are going on in my Dept only… Also for being a topper in that list these infrastructure what we are having now is not enough to compete with other institutes which are Building in world class..

VIVEKANDA AUDITORIUM:

    Here comes our saviour – The Vivek Audi as we call it .. A very good Audi indeed with pakka acoustics followed and having a good seating arrangement and fully airconditioned.. But the sad thing is we dont have a permanent sound arrangement ( Mics, amplifiers etc..,  ), a permanent seating arrangement and the AC hardly works…  I had a very high thoght abt our Audi until I visited the Audis at CRESCENT and IIT.. Now no comments..

     Ok let me stop here else it will be like digging ones own hole.. Our VC announced that he’s got a plan to improve the infra strucuture facility with a Govt fund of 250 Crores.. Lets wait and watch which one is going to improve.. Whether it is Our Infra or Someone else’s Bank Balance
